All the Nethinims, and the children of Solomon's servants, [were] three hundred ninety and two. (2:58)

And these [were] they which went up from Telmelah, Telharsa, Cherub, Addan, [and] Immer: but they could not show their father's house, and their seed, whether they [were] of Israel: (2:59)

The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred fifty and two. (2:60)

And of the children of the priests: the children of Habaiah, the children of Koz, the children of Barzillai; which took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite, and was called after their name: (2:61)

These sought their register [among] those that were reckoned by genealogy, but they were not found: therefore were they, as polluted, put from the priesthood. (2:62)

And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most holy things, till there stood up a priest with Urim and with Thummim. (2:63)

The whole congregation together [was] forty and two thousand three hundred [and] threescore, (2:64)

Beside their servants and their maids, of whom [there were] seven thousand three hundred thirty and seven: and [there were] among them two hundred singing men and singing women. (2:65)

Their horses [were] seven hundred thirty and six; their mules, two hundred forty and five; (2:66)

Their camels, four hundred thirty and five; [their] asses, six thousand seven hundred and twenty. (2:67)

And [some] of the chief of the fathers, when they came to the house of the Lord which [is] at Jerusalem, offered freely for the house of God to set it up in his place: (2:68)

They gave after their ability unto the treasure of the work threescore and one thousand drams of gold, and five thousand pound of silver, and one hundred priests' garments. (2:69)

So the priests, and the Levites, and [some] of the people, and the singers, and the porters, and the Nethinims, dwelt in their cities, and all Israel in their cities. (2:70)

And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel [were] in the cities, the people gathered themselves together as one man to Jerusalem. (3:1)

Then stood up Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and his brethren the priests, and Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and his brethren, and builded the altar of the God of Israel, to offer burnt offerings thereon, as [it is] written in the law of Moses the man of God. (3:2)

And they set the altar upon his bases; for fear [was] upon them because of the people of those countries: and they offered burnt offerings thereon unto the Lord, [even] burnt offerings morning and evening. (3:3)

They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as [it is] written, and [offered] the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required; (3:4)

And afterward [offered] the continual burnt offering, both of the new moons, and of all the set feasts of the Lord that were consecrated, and of every one that willingly offered a freewill offering unto the Lord. (3:5)

From the first day of the seventh month began they to offer burnt offerings unto the Lord. But the foundation of the temple of the Lord was not [yet] laid. (3:6)

They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring cedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of Cyrus king of Persia. (3:7)

Now in the second year of their coming unto the house of God at Jerusalem, in the second month, began Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all they that were come out of the captivity unto Jerusalem; and appointed the Levites, from twenty years old and upward, to set forward the work of the house of the Lord. (3:8)

Then stood Jeshua [with] his sons and his brethren, Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah, together, to set forward the workmen in the house of God: the sons of Henadad, [with] their sons and their brethren the Levites. (3:9)

And when the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, they set the priests in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites the sons of Asaph with cymbals, to praise the Lord, after the ordinance of David king of Israel. (3:10)

And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the Lord; because [he is] good, for his mercy [endureth] for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid. (3:11)

But many of the priests and Levites and chief of the fathers, [who were] ancient men, that had seen the first house, when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, wept with a loud voice; and many shouted aloud for joy: (3:12)

So that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the noise was heard afar off. (3:13)

These [are] now the chief of their fathers, and [this is] the genealogy of them that went up with me from Babylon, in the reign of Artaxerxes the king. (8:1)

Of the sons of Phinehas; Gershom: of the sons of Ithamar; Daniel: of the sons of David; Hattush. (8:2)

Of the sons of Shechaniah, of the sons of Pharosh; Zechariah: and with him were reckoned by genealogy of the males an hundred and fifty. (8:3)

Of the sons of Pahathmoab; Elihoenai the son of Zerahiah, and with him two hundred males. (8:4)

Of the sons of Shechaniah; the son of Jahaziel, and with him three hundred males. (8:5)

Of the sons also of Adin; Ebed the son of Jonathan, and with him fifty males. (8:6)

And of the sons of Elam; Jeshaiah the son of Athaliah, and with him seventy males. (8:7)

And of the sons of Shephatiah; Zebadiah the son of Michael, and with him fourscore males. (8:8)

Of the sons of Joab; Obadiah the son of Jehiel, and with him two hundred and eighteen males. (8:9)

And of the sons of Shelomith; the son of Josiphiah, and with him an hundred and threescore males. (8:10)

And of the sons of Bebai; Zechariah the son of Bebai, and with him twenty and eight males. (8:11)

And of the sons of Azgad; Johanan the son of Hakkatan, and with him an hundred and ten males. (8:12)

And of the last sons of Adonikam, whose names [are] these, Eliphelet, Jeiel, and Shemaiah, and with them threescore males. (8:13)

Of the sons also of Bigvai; Uthai, and Zabbud, and with them seventy males. (8:14)

And I gathered them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi. (8:15)

Then sent I for Eliezer, for Ariel, for Shemaiah, and for Elnathan, and for Jarib, and for Elnathan, and for Nathan, and for Zechariah, and for Meshullam, chief men; also for Joiarib, and for Elnathan, men of understanding. (8:16)

And I sent them with commandment unto Iddo the chief at the place Casiphia, and I told them what they should say unto Iddo, [and] to his brethren the Nethinims, at the place Casiphia, that they should bring unto us ministers for the house of our God. (8:17)

And by the good hand of our God upon us they brought us a man of understanding, of the sons of Mahli, the son of Levi, the son of Israel; and Sherebiah, with his sons and his brethren, eighteen; (8:18)

And Hashabiah, and with him Jeshaiah of the sons of Merari, his brethren and their sons, twenty; (8:19)

Also of the Nethinims, whom David and the princes had appointed for the service of the Levites, two hundred and twenty Nethinims: all of them were expressed by name. (8:20)

Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river of Ahava, that we might afflict ourselves before our God, to seek of him a right way for us, and for our little ones, and for all our substance. (8:21)

For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God [is] upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath [is] against all them that forsake him. (8:22)

So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was entreated of us. (8:23)

Then I separated twelve of the chief of the priests, Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their brethren with them, (8:24)

And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, [even] the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellors, and his lords, and all Israel [there] present, had offered: (8:25)

I even weighed unto their hand six hundred and fifty talents of silver, and silver vessels an hundred talents, [and] of gold an hundred talents; (8:26)

Also twenty basins of gold, of a thousand drams; and two vessels of fine copper, precious as gold. (8:27)

And I said unto them, Ye [are] holy unto the Lord; the vessels [are] holy also; and the silver and the gold [are] a freewill offering unto the Lord God of your fathers. (8:28)

Watch ye, and keep [them], until ye weigh [them] before the chief of the priests and the Levites, and chief of the fathers of Israel, at Jerusalem, in the chambers of the house of the Lord. (8:29)

So took the priests and the Levites the weight of the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, to bring [them] to Jerusalem unto the house of our God. (8:30)

Then we departed from the river of Ahava on the twelfth [day] of the first month, to go unto Jerusalem: and the hand of our God was upon us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy, and of such as lay in wait by the way. (8:31)

And we came to Jerusalem, and abode there three days. (8:32)

Now on the fourth day was the silver and the gold and the vessels weighed in the house of our God by the hand of Meremoth the son of Uriah the priest; and with him [was] Eleazar the son of Phinehas; and with them [was] Jozabad the son of Jeshua, and Noadiah the son of Binnui, Levites; (8:33)

By number [and] by weight of every one: and all the weight was written at that time. (8:34)

[Also] the children of those that had been carried away, which were come out of the captivity, offered burnt offerings unto the God of Israel, twelve bullocks for all Israel, ninety and six rams, seventy and seven lambs, twelve he goats [for] a sin offering: all [this was] a burnt offering unto the Lord. (8:35)

And they delivered the king's commissions unto the king's lieutenants, and to the governors on this side the river: and they furthered the people, and the house of God. (8:36)
